Food

Pantry

San Saba First United Methodist Church works with the Capitol Food Bank of Texas to help distribute nutritious food twice a month to families in need.

Thinking
of
You

Thinking of You (T.O.Y) is a nondenominational group that meets every third Wednesday of the month at 10 am to be the "Hands and Feet" of Jesus Christ. The group tries to identify needs in the community and meet them the best they can. It may be with a card that lets someone know we are thinking of them (happy birthday or get well soon), it may be $100 to a family that is having unexpected medical bills, snacks for our teachers as they get ready for school to begin, or it may be putting together goody bags for our service men & women.

Grub Sacks

Grub sack ministry is a grass roots version of the "Backpack Program." Many children may receive free or reduced-price meals through the National School Lunch Program and the National School Breakfast Program. And for some these may be the only nutritious meals they are receiving. So what happens over the weekend? This "Grub Sack" program works to fill the gap between Friday and Monday. Bags of nutritious snacks are delivered to San Saba and Richland Springs schools on Fridays to be given out confidentially to those students who may be in need  of something to eat over the weekend.

VBS

Every summer we welcome kids of the community into our church home to let them know about the love Jesus Christ has for each and every one of them in a fun, no-strings attached environment. We sing, play games, do crafts, have a snack and most of all have a great time!

Men's

Breakfast and Bible Study

The men of the church get together for a home-cooked breakfast the last Sunday of every month to fellowship and learn together what the bible says for our lives today. They meet at 7:45 am before our regular Sunday school. All are welcome.

San

Saba

Rehab

San Saba First United Methodist Church has a great working relationship with San Saba Rehab. For the residents of San Saba Rehab, we provide a bible study every 1st, 3rd, and 5th Wednesday of the month and provide a worship service every 3rd Sunday at 3 pm.

to Schools

Here at San Saba First United Methodist Church we work with our local schools in many different ways. We provide lunch at teacher in-service days, support the Band Boosters, take turns feeding the football team before games and host 5th Quarters.

Youth Fellowship

Our youth meets the first Wednesday of every month at 5:30 pm for middle school and high school age kids. We eat together and fellowship.
